Joakim Leroy is an established professional photographer and is currently based in France. Since year 2000 he has been covering South East Asia and has produced numerous commercial, lifestyle, travel images and books. He is also specialised in architecture and drone photography and has helped dozens of property owners to have their place photographed, including also luxurious hotels and resorts.
Joakim is also represented worldwide by the photo agency Getty Images and other agencies such as Pond5, Cavan Images, for his images and video work and they have been used in many publications worldwide either on printed material or online.
Today Joakim focuses primarily on his future book project ‘Bali in Colours, from Volcanoes to Oceans’, a 176-page hardcover photography book depicting Bali landscape in traditional DSLR photography and breathtaking drone images. This book publication should occur in 2023.
Joakim also emphasises his creative work on his street art contemporary style of photography with a series called ‘Bali in Crisis’. It is a collection of unique montage based on doubled / tripled exposure artworks representing numerous meanings and subjects into one. Those artworks will soon displayed in France in several locations.
BALI IN COLOURS
‘Bali in Colours, from Volcanoes to Oceans’, is a photography book project of approximately 176 pages that came into life at the start of the Corona Virus pandemic that affected the entire planet. As a published photographer in the past with Orchid Press and Azu Editions, Joakim took the time to photograph intensively Bali in all aspects and directions, on traditional DSLR camera mounted on tripod and also with the DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone that offers unique angles, compositions and abstract views of the island.
Currently speaking, this project should come into life in 2023 and will be sold online on https://balibook.art and other channels, point of sales and art galleries.
